Green Logistics and Sustainability
Protecting the environment while creating a sustainable operation is at the forefront of our core values.
We believe that going green is simply the right thing to do. Our goal is to get to zero emissions!

Riverside Renewable Energy
In 2011 Riverside Renewable Energy was born out of the vision of Tom Holt Sr.
The Riverside Renewable Energy Solar Array sits on top of the Gloucester Marine Terminal in Gloucester City, NJ. It is the 4th largest rooftop solar array in the world and produces 9 megawatts of power annually.
In 2018, Riverside Renewable Energy added another 1.1 megawatt project to the rooftop at the Gloucester Marine Terminal. The array consists of 3,120 panels with an annual power output of 1,300 MWh.
Electrification Projects
We believe it is our social responsibility to operate with the smallest carbon footprint possible. Over the next three years, the four marine terminals will start to transition to fully electric terminals with electric cranes as well as the replacement of diesel jockey trucks with state-of-the-art electric jockey vehicles.
Recycling and Waste Management
All facilities take part in an extensive recycling program to deal with the waste and discarded packaging that is generated from operations. We can proudly say that over 95% of waste generated by these operations is recycled.
