Choose Philadelphia
A Central Hub for Distribution
The Port of Philadelphia is strategically located in the Northeast of the United States, within a one-day drive to more than 50% of the Canadian and U.S. population. In addition, the marine terminals are located near major highways and are serviced by some of the largest North American railways – CSX and Norfolk Southern.
South Jersey has become increasingly important nationally as a distribution hub for perishable and dry cargoes with 780+ local distribution centers.
Largest Reefer Hub on the East Coast
Philadelphia serves as the main importation point and distribution hub for fresh fruits and frozen food items entering the United States. The four port facilities offer over 25 million cubic feet of temperature-controlled storage and over 4,500 reefer plugs.
Global Leader in Food Cargoes
Last year alone, Holt oversaw 6.9 billion dollars’ worth of food and associated goods through the Philadelphia ports, with 3.5 billion dollars of that being produce. Holt will continue to lead the industry as the primary hub for food and produce in the United States into the future.
